The UNC Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Club proudly showcased their skills at the UNC Student Involvement Fair during Fall 2023 opening weekend! This annual event brings together all student organizations to recruit new members, with each club giving a live demonstration of their unique activities—whether it’s singing, dancing, improv, or in our case, jiu-jitsu. Thanks to Steven Paprocki from Colorado Jiu-Jitsu Club, we featured two exciting no-gi submission grappling matches with current UNC students and alumni, complete with professional scoring displays and a ring announcer. A big thank you to everyone who stopped by to support and learn more about our club!
The UNC Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Club is not just about rolling on the mats—they know how to have fun off the mats too! After one of the club’s regular Sunday practices, members took a trip to Fort Collins to visit Shatter Rage Room for an adrenaline-filled day of smashing things to bits. The awesome team at Shatter even put together a custom video for us to relive the chaos!
